KENDO
The concept of kendo is to discipline the human character through the application of the principles of the katana (sword).
Markham Kendo Club is a not-for-profit registered club dedicated to the Japanese martial art kendo, the way of the sword. Started in 2010 by our head instructor, Hideki Sumi (Kyoshi 7th Dan), Markham Kendo Club is open to all new students including children 8+. Markham Kendo Club is a club in good standing with Kendo Ontario and Canadian Kendo Federation (CKF), a member of the International Kendo Federation (FIK).
For more information visit the new beginners page or contact us. We’ll be happy to provide an orientation to Kendo.
